Born in the Isle of Man and studied an Art Foundation at Isle of Man College under the expert tuition of Norman Sayle RI. Following that I studied for a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Kingston Polytechnic, Surrey. After working for many years in London, I returned to the Island to join the design team at The Creative Studio for 10 years until becoming a freelance designer in 1997.
I took up painting in 1989 as a hobby when I was given my first set of oil paints. I enjoy this medium to show the beautiful and ever changing Manx countryside and am always looking for new places and novel views to paint.
My latest commission is to paint a series of harbour lighthouses around the Island by the Post Office for a new set of stamps, due out later this year.
