Manx born artist, Julie Collins, works from her studios in the UK and Isle of Man. Her contemporary paintings are created in a series, working with mixed media and handmade papers.
In February/March 2011 Julie exhibited two large paintings at the Royal Watercolour Society, Bankside, London and was presented the prestigious Royal Watercolor Society Award. During 2011 her work will also be exhibited at Sarah Wiseman Gallery, Oxford, Haslemere Museum, Hampshire, Bardoe & Appel, Guildford and Benchmark – Terence Conran Furniture & Design. Julie is author of several Art books, including Painting Flowers with Impact in Watercolour and the Colour Mixing Index, sponsored by Winsor & Newton. Her Art teaching includes teaching Drawing and Painting to MA & BA students at the University of Creative Arts, Surrey, major Art Projects with Schools, Community Art Projects for the Visually Impaired and Watercolour & Drawing workshops throughout the UK.
