Eileen Schaer is an artist with an original poetic vision. Her work reveals the art of a lucid imagination which has been crafted over many years of practice. She regards the characters that appear in her paintings as being from an ongoing story that imaginatively unwinds mysterious dramas. Her paintings are inspired by everyday life with a love of nature particularly of the Isle of Man and its Celtic mystique being her main source of inspiration. Eileen has exhibited in the Isle of Man, the UK and abroad, most recently in the Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition 2011 at the Mall Galleries and in the Gold Coast, Australia. She has work in public and private collections including Manx National Heritage and the Public Catalogue Foundation.
